Special Library Service Contribution Award 2024

Known as the “New London Hidden Gem,” the Garden at Tracy Library was the 2024 recipient of the Special Library Service Contribution Award. It is truly a wonder with a long and interesting history. Volunteers from the New London Garden Club and members of the community have maintained the garden. An article about the award is on page six in the Winter 2024-25 NHLTA newsletter.


“Secret Gardeners” of the Meredith Public Library

Every year a group of volunteer Friends of the Meredith Library plant and maintain the gardens at the library.

Friends of the Converse Library in Lyme

The Converse Library Little Free Library in Lyme includes an attached bench for comfortable browsing.

It was designed and built by the Lyme School Principal with materials purchased by the Friends of Converse Library and is located on the Lyme Common.
